Hex-4 Custom Slide & Barrel Porting Service

The Hex-4 Slide & Barrel Porting Service is engineered to turn snappy, aggressive handguns into flat-shooting, rapid-recovery performance machines. By machining our signature multi-tiered geometric hex window through the slide top and matching it with four inline barrel exhaust ports, expanding combustion gases are vented vertically to violently suppress muzzle flip.

• Rifling Integrity & De-Burring: Each barrel port is microscopically deburred, bore-scoped, and chamfered along the rifling lands and grooves to protect projectile accuracy and prevent jacket shearing.
• Zero Holster Penalty: Keep your handgun within factory slide and muzzle dimensions—no custom open-ended holsters or bulky compensator thread adapters required.

Supported Platforms & Brands

Our Hex-4 porting system is compatible with most standard striker-fired and hammer-fired semi-automatic pistols featuring solid top slides and adequate barrel wall thickness. We regularly service factory OEM setups as well as aftermarket slides/barrels across the following brands:

*Don't see your specific model listed? As long as your slide has a solid flat or radiused top section forward of the ejection port and does not feature pre-existing deep weight-reduction cuts, we can likely service it. Contact us prior to ordering to confirm.

Barrel & Optic Considerations

• Barrel Styles: Works with OEM factory barrels, aftermarket flush-cut/crown barrels, and bull barrels. Deep spiral-fluted, dimpled, or skeletonized aftermarket barrels must be inspected to ensure port concentricity.
• Slide Optics / Red Dots: The Hex-4 port window is positioned forward of the ejection port and barrel hood, ensuring vented carbon and hot gas do not blast directly onto your optic objective lens.
• Recoil Springs: Most full-size and compact platforms cycle standard factory ammo (115gr, 124gr, 147gr) with OEM recoil springs. Light target loads may benefit from a 1–2 lb lighter recoil spring tuning depending on the firearm.

Simple Mail-In Instructions

1. Place Your Order: Select your firearm platform, slide disassembly options, and preferred finish/Cerakote.
2. Ship Only the Upper (No FFL Required): Under federal law, pistol slides and barrels are non-serialized parts. You can legally ship them directly to our workshop via USPS, UPS, or FedEx without an FFL transfer. DO NOT SEND THE SERIALIZED LOWER FRAME / RECEIVER.
3. Pack Securely: Enclose your order confirmation slip inside the package. Wrap parts in bubble wrap to protect the finish during transit.
4. Machining, QC & Return: We machine, chamfer, deburr, finish (if selected), and return your slide assembly directly to your doorstep with tracking and insurance.
