A new look for your Rough Rider

Give your Heritage Rough Rider a distinctive Space Rider look with a polymer cosmetic body kit from VWcustomworks. Choose the version for your barrel length and select your preferred solid color.

BODY KIT ONLY. No grips, firearm, optic, light, or other pictured accessories are included.

Choose your fit

  • Heritage Rough Rider with a 4.75-inch barrel
  • Heritage Rough Rider with a 6.5-inch barrel

The size selection refers to the firearm barrel length, not the overall length of the body kit. Select the matching version before ordering.

Color options

Black, Charcoal Gray, White, Red, Royal Blue, Orange, FDE, OD Green, Coyote Brown, Desert Sand, Ranger Green, and Navy Blue. All solid colors are the same price within each size.

Color-chart images are digital previews. Actual shades and surface texture may vary. Product photos show the body design; choose your size and color using the options above.

Installation notes

  1. Unload the revolver. Open the loading gate and confirm every chamber is empty.
  2. Remove the factory ejector housing / cover. You do not need it with this body.
  3. Take the factory ejector rod and spring and slide them into the slot on the polymer body.
  4. Slide the body over the revolver until it seats fully. Do not force it.
  5. Install and tighten the ejector housing screw to lock the body in place.
  6. Confirm the cylinder still rotates freely and the ejector still works.
  7. Mount optics and lights with standard Picatinny hardware. Do not over-crush the polymer rail—snug is enough.
  8. Function check unloaded before live fire: cylinder lockup, hammer, trigger, and ejector.

If the body is tight, lightly sand the contact faces. Do not heat-gun it onto the gun.

Keep your support hand behind the cylinder gap. Revolvers vent hot gas at the front of the cylinder.
